Peaceful Passage is a service providing gentle, safe, at home euthanasia for your pet. This service eliminates the stress, pain, or discomfort of traveling to your veterinary office, while allowing your beloved pet to leave the world in a most peaceful way.

About the Veterinarian
Dr. Julie Rabinowitz is a caring, licensed veterinarian working in the Baltimore area. She is a 2001 graduate of the University of Tennessee College of Veterinary Medicine. She recognizes the benefits of having your pet put to sleep at home in order to ease the pain and difficulty of getting to the veterinary office. She will work directly with your regular veterinarian to best meet the needs of your pet to personalize your at home euthanasia.

How it Works
After discussing your needs, Dr. Rabinowitz will arrive at your home at an agreed upon time. When you are ready, a small amount of a sedative will be administered to your cat or dog in order to eliminate anxiety, and the need for restraint. This is an excellent time to say your last goodbyes as your pet will gently fall to sleep over a period of about 5 minutes. Once again, when you are ready, a small amount of hair will be shaved from the leg, and the euthanasia solution will be administered. In a matter of minutes, Dr. Rabinowitz will listen to the heart to ensure that your pet has gently passed on. When you are ready, your pet will be placed in a special bed in order to care for the body, unless you elect to care for your pet afterward. If you have elected it, a beautiful urn will be delivered to you within a week.
